While I agree men in general are weaker and gayer these days, Spiderman is supposed to be a nerdy teenager, Mark Ruffalo plays scientist Bruce Banner, not the Hulk, and Dr Strange is a wizard, not a warrior. A more fair comparison would be between actors who played the same character in remakes vs originals.

TLDR you are comparing teenagers and scientists to cage fighters and elite soldiers.

Thor, captain america, the winter soldier, and the two guys from guardians of the galaxy, they all have muscles, only one or two are close to arnie but they are still big.

It would be more fair to compare them to current movie stars that do attempt to be in shape. Vin Diesel, Mark Wahlberg, and Dwayne Johnson perhaps. I'm sure there are more but idk, those usually aren't the type of movies I bother to watch.

Spent 30 minutes trying to find a good action flick last night and everything recent is shallow looking CGI crap. It's either some empowered wahhhmen or some rich soiboi. They all have to have some "special power" to compensate for their low T fagginess.

The old heroes were men, who when faced with adversity, flexed and became even more of a man to solve that shit. And don't say they didn't use their brains, Ivan Drago spoke two languages and Rambo could fly anything and built all those complicated traps and shit. With a knife and a stick; so Marvels Fag-R-Us and MSheU shit can suck my ass. /rant

I agree with the sentiment, but this meme is bullshit. Most super heroes of the 70's and 80's weren't shredded. Think of the older spiderman, batman, superman, etc. They were all normal looking dudes.

Now compare them with shredded post-2000 super heroes like Thor, Aquaman, Captain America, Superman, etc. ... they all maxed on roids for the role.
