Too many people get thrown off by the "Socialism" in National Socialism. American today is far more socialist than NatSoc Germany ever was.

National Socialism is a translation. Personally, I believe, "For the Welfare of the Nation" would be better.

If you think "America First" is a good idea then congratulations, you're halfway to being a National Socialist.

Hayek was wary that prominent British thinkers thought Nazism was simply “vile” and, thus, had little to do with a noble set of ideas such as socialism. Instead, he saw a radical reaction to the “old” liberal system and the rule of law. Hayek’s contention remains controversial. See for example this recent article by Robert J. Granieri, who argues that

...although the Nazis did pursue a level of government intervention in the economy that would shock doctrinaire free marketeers, their ‘socialism’ was at best a secondary element in their appeal. Indeed, most supporters of Nazism embraced the party precisely because they saw it as an enemy of and an alternative to the political left.

And then Germany became great, and it took the whole jewish controlled world to stop them.

...and it took the whole jewish controlled world to stop them.

Well, invading Russia in winter was a stupid idea, so there's that too.

The invasion had to be delayed weeks because the wehrmacht had to help Mussolini and his weak willed troops.

It was a necessary gamble hitler nearly won and likely lost because of the delayed invasion.

Hitler's greatest mistake was probably honoring his relationship with japan after pearl harbor and declaring war on the US, this is all too easy to say after the fact though.

The russian winter meme is real though, Hitler's generals should jave been more forceful about timing.

He wasn't perfect, and you could argue that his hand was forced, too. We all make mistakes.

Also, when I replied to your comment, I thought i was replying to someone else, so I apologize if i cause any confusion.

I was taught to repeat that phrase in the ninth grade also.

Our enemies hate getting stabbed. It must be a good thing. Let's all stab ourselves.

No, it is not common sense to allow your enemies to choose both the dominant political ideology AND the opposition.

Historical evidence shows fascism and national socialism always defeat internal communist forces.

Natsoc: False. The freikorps had already defeated the communists by the time hitler rose to power.

Fascism: True. All one examples defeated communists.

Now you can go ahead and explain how they are the only options when plenty of other groups have successfully kicked out commies.

Capitalists and monarchists have failed to repel communists and lost to them, fascists and natsocs never have, further the communist party in germany still existed up to the burning of the reichstag. The reichstag fire was likely a false flag or at least they allowed the whole building to burn after a communist set the fire and hitler pivoted the whole country on that issue to squish the last bit of german communism under his heel and take total control.

Not one have I heard these liberal idiots rail on Nat Soc. They just hate America, the family unit, and everything else.

The most retarded "common sense" statement ever said. Why not speak the truth and say you welcome communism.

[–] [deleted] -1 pt

no, they hate the US constitution, dumbfuck

It's certainly more efficient and effective than communism. But it looks like it's susceptible to long-term corruption, just like most authoritarian governments; and it's rather confining for the individual.

Couldn't the left say the same thing about communism? This is kind of a dumb way to look at things.
