Somewhere in the recesses of his brain, he has a remembered "Man, what life was when I was a kid", where he had a two parent family, maybe the mom worked part time or volunteered; but he came home to security, a snack after school before playing with his friends, a homecooked meal and plenty of food on the table for dinner, doing homework then some light entertainment watching tv as a family. Then going to sleep safe and secure, waking up for school and doing it over again.
Weekends were spent outside, starting after breakfast and watching some of the morning cartoons, riding his bike or just hanging out with friends in the treehouse or playing the new gaming console at another friends house--before that mother kicked them outside to play.
