Towing a 5th wheel (stability) or towing livestock /feed / multi car trailers (weight) , or directly hauling your house (camper) , are the only legit reasons to need one.

But they look cool and here in America that's a good enough reason for me.

the Ranjah and the Hilux

I have no idea what you just said. Ranjah sounds like a streetshitter car, and I’m pretty sure Hilux is a cookie. Oh wait that’s Hydrox. Fuck it whatever.

Ranjah being how they pronounce Ranger in Australia, and the Hilux is like the Tacoma but built like a tank. Both have diesel engines and are superior to the US versions.

True for truck owners in general. Good indicator is when they're scratch free. If you see a brand new hammer in someone's home, it probably hasn't been touching nails.

most 1 ton SRW's come in the short bed too, went to a chevy dealer looking for SRW 3500 8 ft bed he was like yeah no, not seen one on our lot in years... Started looking and all the SRW 3500's and 350s are short bed full cab. Go buy a fucking minivan if you want a people hauler, I want a truck for towing thanks! I live in an area that has more pickups than cars on average too.

If I wanted to drive a bus I'd buy one.

Single cab short bed race truck!

True, and while I don't have a dually, I know my 1 ton is way more truck than I need. But, it's paid for, and I'm the original owner and I have taken very good care of it. My problem is that if I sell it, I'll still need a truck, so I'd either have to go into debt for a new one, or roll the dice on a used one that wasn't taken care of, and would need who knows how much stuff fixed before it's equal to what I already have.
