It's a perfect metaphor for rap. All style, no substance. Fake gold chains, fake diamond studded watches. They get a bunch of money and blow it on stupid shit like this, huge houses, and to pay their "posse" to hang around with them so they're actually dead broke, fake rich, ghetto rich. One bad record and they become has beens and don't have a penny to pay the mortgage on their 20 bedroom mansion and fleet of luxury cars. All that money spent on interest with nothing to show for it. Next thing they know they're doing novelty commercials and the state fair circuit to make payments on their condo.
