Thats the mark up sticker. Dealers can sell for whatever price they want. When i sold cars we called the markup sticker the idiot price. Problem is with the chip shortage they can mark it up this high and some idiot will actually buy it.
Tell them you want their lowest price. The sales man works on commission. A little bit of something is a whole lot better than nothing.
Yep, this is a toy, but it the car retails for 100k , and prices are up 20% this year, that's 20k right there. And that's not even accounting for the fact that this is a good that is in particularly short supply. Like I say, this is sort of a poor example of a travesty because no one NEEDS one of these. Ferraris tend to be marked up when new as well; few people bitch about that. But people who need work trucks are paying almost as much which is a problem.
Yup when i was selling cars the prius had just come out and they were in short supply. We wouldnt sell one unless some idiot paid the mark up price. But if you pay mark up on an ordinary car you got ripped off
