Truck driver here. Because the truck that was getting passed was doing a half mile an hour slower and with big rigs its all about momentum and if it's a hilly area you can climb faster when lighter. If it's on flat ground you're just fucked. But yeah that's why. .5 miles an hour difference.

lol even the slow truck didn't want to be stuck behind an even slower truck.

no we dont because of the fuel it takes to speed back up, with these prices i'll just hit the cruise at 66mph and stay in the right lane. I'll let everyone else go around. Fuel is 5+ dollars a gallon, im not going fast and im not going far these days

Don't you save on fuel going behind another truck?

it wasn't even 0.5 mph difference, it had to be like 0.1 mph

yep, still going slower and its either petal to the floor or sit 100 feet back and hear a beeping noise. Sorry for the inconvenience though, i really hate when I have to do that to a long line of cars. I do feel like a dick. But in reality, the slower truck is suppose to slow down to let the truck on the left pass, but since all these fucking nogs and shitskins are driving trucks now there is not really a common driver etiquette anymore. fucking foreigners

If I were a traffic cop, I'd write tickets for failure to do this just like I'd ticket cars who never ever get out of the left lane.

Yeah I would figure truckers would cooperate a bit more with each other
