There are all kinds of diesel vehicles. SUVs, compacts, luxuries, even Beetles

Yeah, I get that. There isn't a huge selection for deisel motors in small vehicles in the US though.

I also didn't realize Hyundai dabbled in it as much as they do.

Also can't say I've ever seen a nignog driving a diesel. It's too efficent and complicated for them
