>Americans heading home for the holidays have been warned about travel chaos - as major airports across the nation are being slammed with cancellations and delays. From New York to Los Angeles, fliers trying to make it to their families in time for Christmas have been greeted with havoc. This year marks a record for holiday travel, with 122.4 million Americans expected to travel at least 50 miles from where they live during the 13-day period between December 20 and January 1, according to AAA. The AAA prediction indicates a 2.2 percent uptick in Americans flocking to their loved ones from 2024 - when 119.7 million people went home during the Christmas season - and the most travelers in the last 15 years.
