Going to be on a cruise ship in the winter in the Adriatic Sea with my father ( his way of saving money ) and I was wondering what kind of weather should we expect? Would it be too cold to go out on to the deck for any length of time? We also have ports of call and we were warned already about rain. Is it like cold November rain or is it like not so bad rain?

This is all his idea because he thinks he's going to die tomorrow. Although he's been thinking he was going to die tomorrow for the past decade. I've never been to this part of the world so I figured how bad could it be? It's not about the weather it's about how you dress.

And that leads me to another question along the non Italian side of the Adriatic, it's not wise to showboat your 'success' via name brand clothing correct? I'm not asking for myself I'm asking for you know who, who likes wear all the country club classics just to show his 'newfound' good life.

It might sound like I'm picking on my dad I'm not, I just want enjoy myself and not have to take a knife for him because he's an idiot and is wearing a Patagonia labeled bubble goose down jacket worth more than someone makes in a year.

Just messing with you. I am Croatian and from Split, but years of living in Western Europe is what influenced my handle. There's a story behind it, maybe I'll share it one day, maybe not.

You can ask if he felt safe while in Split. I've been there for the whole month recently and walking around at night is so relaxing, it's all White people. Seeing a nigger tourists is so rare that it's almost comical to run into them. In wintertime you probably won't see any.

Winters on Croatian coast can be very cold and will be VERY windy. So proper jackets, hats and all is a must. I assume Italy will be the same. Can't tell you about Monte Nigger as I've never been there, but people I've met that are from there were decent.

Any further question, don't hesitate to ask.

Good to know. So maybe skip the rain jacket and get something puffy and warm? Think I need like winter boots and long underwear under my pants?

Won't need snow boots, but leather ones will come in handy. You will probably need a underlayer on the boat, maybe even some light folding rain jacket to throw over the puffercoat wouldn't be a bad idea.

Weather can get a bit wet out on the sea, but nothing extreme.

Yeah I got to do some winter shopping for this trip. I don't really have any winter clothes because I live in the desert during the winter and it's not cold there. So I've let all my winter clothes fall apart and I've never replaced them. I'm good to about 50° Fahrenheit with clothes and then I'm without.
