Rose, a senior at Ida B. Wells High School, won with a height of 4-foot 8-inches and beat her nearest competitor Addyson Skyles by a huge two inches. That effort was a personal record for Rose. However, when competing against boys in May 2023, she finished 11th out of 11 in the junior varsity boys equivalent.
