Yeah, I wondered how long they were going to put up with with that shit...

I think the women starting to say "fuck this, I'm not competing against a male and I don't care if I give up my title" forced this (they started to do this even in a dart throwing competition). If the competitors don't show up, therefore no competition and no spectators, the people who get paid (organizers, regs, etc) lose their jobs.... Suddenly they care.
