Me too. I bought my first dome tent there in 1984. I remember buying a blue duck down puffy rip stop nylon winter jacket there mid-late 1970s. That jacket took years of abuse. After too many years of abuse and washings the feathers stopped puffing out. Worth every penny.
All my first buys of gear, down bag and coat, backpack, etc., came from the Holubar store in Ft Collins CO in the early seventies. They got sold to Johnson Wax, not doing well enough for them they sold the line to North Face who black holed the name. It was then bought from North Face by an Italian in 2012. It was damn good gear. Lol, still have the goose down sleeping bag, but it stinks to high heaven like the old nylon can. Can’t bear to toss as it went on a lot of the great adventures of my younger years across the west.

Thanks! I’ll give your recipe a go.
Lol, pukefest. That’s what the nylon on that bag smells like. I’ve had several nylon items go to smelling like that after some years go by. Had a nice jrat wall bag do that in the nineties. It’s a disgusting oder. Very much like vomit.
