Okay well, here’s how I personally look at it, I’ve tried the equal partnership thing, doesn’t fucking work. So we are doing the traditionalism thing except my wife never slept around, we married very young and have tried it both ways, so I guess we went with 3/5 and that seems to work better than anything we have tried before. It’s made our life better, trying to keep our faith stronger was a big part of improving our marriage. I’m rambling at this point, at the end of the day I’ll tell him marry someone like your mother. And my girls will just be locked in their rooms after 13 until I’m dead. Yes I’m aware it’s a double standard nature is sexist get over it.
My opinion - like the desired end state, the journey there requires effort by both:
Men must, as in a Christian relationship, take charge. We embark on lifelong self-improvement and publicized, frank selectivity in the mates we will accept (i.e., boldly stating "I want a virtuous, faithful woman who will keep my house and bear my children," as if that is not controversial... it isn't... must shift Overton Window on the subject). Abandoning hypocritical man-whoring and seeking meaningless sex makes the male more than a penis - a prize catch. Compatibility in a mate is largely nonsexual; we should act like it.
Women must, and biologically are wired to, recognize the folly of feminism. With the male example over time, both the weak rationalization and the strong intuition of women will steer more and more to the traditional, reaching critical populations (sociologically) that prove irresistible in the female herd-mentality. Essentially, women have the easier burden - just "unplug" from the indoctrination, the failings of which are in abundant evidence, and they naturally gravitate back. Elevate homemaking and childbearing as more worthy than careers - not equal -, defending the roles viciously against detractors.
Each must overcome an evolutionary animal instinct and unleash another instinct: Men suppress the "fuck everything in sight to spread genes" but emphasize the "provider/caretaker/protector"; Women suppress the "feelings are truth" but emphasize the "reproduce young and complement man."
In a broad sense, the ideal society I envision is one in which women cannot vote, men (property holders) hold all political positions and vote 2x if married, 3x if children, only men can obtain college educations, and fill every single economic role (including teaching). We get there by building from the mini-societies in our homes; this state of being won't be legislated or dictated.
Better out than I could.
I think we need a bestofpoal sub for this type of thing.
