The thing nobody tells you in the gloom and doom scenaros is that people adapt. Farmers can grow different crops, can bring fallow fields back into production. Local farms that shut down production due to low profits can start working again. After all, our farmers are white men. We know how to deal with adversity. Food shortages won't be nearly as bad as some people think they are going to be -- for us, I mean. In the Third World, they are going to be bad.
