cigarettes smell, are akin to insecticides/poisonous, make your skin and insides sick, you are basically mildly sick as a smoker, your cardio ability is very diminished, you cant really say you are athletic if you smoke, and people dont manage a nicotine addiction well really ever, and the high is shitty too- unless you are an addict getting closer to baseline.

now about quitting,

cigarettes have MAOI harmala style chemicals in them to attenuate and potentiate the nicotine high. todays newport is like a stick of crack compared to an american spirit for this reason.

another import consideration is how much cigarette is consumed after the needed amount of drug is finished being consumed. this is what i have termed 'the fuck it point'. its at this point the smoker is led to smoke more either by maybe the size left of the cigarette, or the high it can bring, ??.

another important consideration is the perception of the negative aspects. smokers ignore how they smell homeless(haha its true often enough! how its in their nose, there are tons of bad aspects of smoking and the drug high is shit. of all intoxicants it has a therapeutic index pretty narrow for its time spent consuming. you are like a bee behaves on it, buzz buzz fiddling around, nicotine is actually a shitty high.

so what i recommend is the following: the MAOI containing cigarettes have to be switched and it is easiest to achieve this at the beginning. so switch to a natrual cigarette. i recommend American spirit black or nat sherman or dunhill. if you can roll thats a plus because you are able to dose yourself better cigarettes but be aware they are higher in nicotine content so treat it like switching to stronger coffee.

with reduction of smoking this reaches its end of doing when you get to a few cigarettes a day.

then you ought to reserve 3-4 days to break routine. like dont work if possible. and reserve any descion to smoke for only that period of time. at the end of 3-4 days, if you want to smoke then ok. during this time enjoy feeling like you are in a pressurized cabin, doped from a flu, dissociated from the current moment,, just take the time.

at the end of this decide to make it another month or if you think its time, promise not to ingest nicotine at all. when you promise to do this you life a weight off your shoulders called 'consideration of use'. people can quickly decide to change their minds. like if its new years and someone offers you a good cigar. by making a promise to not ever use nicotine you insure your safety from being re-addicted to really an addictive drug among drugs, that is shittier than many other drugs.

its a retarded drug steeped in posers and young dumb people and big tobacco,,, etc..

I made it through Survival School and my field exercises because of chewing tobacco. I would go through 2-3 logs in a week. After 15 years, I had quit chewing. I quit for 3 years (minus a 1 month lapse). I used to chew lots of gum, but the latest time quitting I went to a pipe or cigar at night. I go all day without a craving and really enjoy pipes and cigars. Ultimately, like everything, it is moderation.

how did tobacco get you through survival school? the effect??

you mean you had to quit?

the pipe and cigar was different from your chew. if you tried the stuff you got in logs you probably would have relapsed.

yes nicotine's therapeutic index is far lower than what most consume.

Because it is an appetite suppressant and a stimulant. Survival school had very limited food, and during ftx you’re up for 23hrs a day moving. Even when doing a 15mi ruck, I will would put one in. I had been chewing for so long created a recess in 3 of my teeth (not a cavity) where I would typically put it. Despite trying my best to always move it, habits are hard to break. Also, swallowing a bunch of tobacco will help clear out parasites in a pinch.

it intoxicates while doing rigourous activity and disasociates the mind from it, yes.

as you know well it constricts blood vessles and on a hike/ruck march/PT during FTX itll cause cramping and premature fatigue.

the parasite thing i bet actually works damn well and would be worth my time researching.

goodday im done trolling you

e, nootropics and creatine and beta alinine would be a good mix for survivalists looking to supplant the can of dipchew. ibuprophen shrinks balls in study after regular use for 6 months or weeks.
