I see God as the universe and the laws of nature. I'm a super determinist. I believe the laws of nature dictate past present and future. It's cause and effect all the way down.
We're animals. Animals are biological robots, incapable of independent thought, animals just react to their environments. They have no free will. They are slaves to their nature.
Humanity can negate its nature. We can ignore our instincts. We have free will, at least as far as we can tell. Determinism says no but, we can't perceive that. It does explain god knowing the future though.
Anyway, we have free will and can negate our nature, which, when viewed through a lens of collective ancient wisdom, is a good thing.
Sin, is falling into our animal nature. The more we embrace our instincts and ignore our reason, the more we sin, the more likely it is our life will become more difficult, more painful. A life lived this way, in abject selfishness, blindly seeking pleasure and avoiding pain and doing so by stepping on anyone smaller than you, leads to a life of hell. People don't like or trust you, you have nobody. You are alone. You will die alone and forgotten. That is hell.
Heaven is reflecting on a life well lived. A life not filled with regret and remorse. A life you can feel proud to have lived.
God is neither good or evil, he is both at once.
For instance...being gay.
Being gay, is short circuiting nature. It's pleasure seeking behavior. It's heroin. It's exploiting the fact that touching the prostate is sexually pleasurable. This isn't intended, anymore than the receptors in our brains are intended to accept plant based opioids. It's short circuiting the pleasure center.
And the deeper you get into it, the more dangerous it becomes. You expose yourself to physical and mental disease. If your programming says make babies and you don't succeed at that, there will be consequences. Depression, and the degeneracy and pleasure seeking that follow in a vain attempt to make it all feel better. And of course it only makes it worse.
This is why gays and troons are so often depressed, drug addled and degenerate. It's why it so often takes hitting rock bottom to snap out of it and start thinking rationally about your choices and behaviors. What interesting is how often it results in the adoption of religion...which is sort of rational. Yeah maybe it's full of magical nonsense, but, it seems like when people live their lives according to the religions that teach the golden rule, Christianity being tops, their lives are easier, better, more fulfilling, less pain, less loneliness, less isolation.
And that sounds a lot like heaven to me. Just here, on Earth, especially in our final moments of reflection.
