I get what you're saying, but the survival rate is closer to 99.7% Even while being a critical observer, you're making it sound about three times worse than it was.

And that figure moves a couple of decimal places if you don't count people over age 75, which is around the normal human life expectancy these days.
Yup, mid-2020 was the point where I felt like Will Ferrell doing the "crazy pills" speech. Average lifespan was 79, average age of "Covid deaths" was 82. I started asking the panicking idiots if they thought maybe we should try to get covid to increase our longevity, and just got NPC static out of them.
actually, according to the CDC themselves, only 1/10 of the reported number is actual covid (as opposed to the 4 or more comorbidities involved in each person) so YOU are over stating by more than 3 times. :-P 99.97 percent survival. over 50 percent of infections manifest a simple head cold.
