I watched that video and shared it with friends. It's times like this when I wish I was still on Facebook so I could rip into stupid people but then I remember I left Facebook because of all the stupid people.
Yeah, we're dealing with the "filter bubble" (look that term up, there has been a few psychology journal papers about it in the last few years).
I have come to understand the nature of what has happened. Most don't believe me or understand how fundamentally important this is so I gotta try and state it here again.
Bad people have gotten hold of education, financing and media. Parents send their kids away to get indoctrinated by these bad people who groom their children to be ultra sensitive and easily herded. We are experiencing at least the 4th generation of people, plus the technical media has become computer-active and so the bulk are trapped in a digitally procured filter bubble.
The answer, as you perfectly stated is get off facebook. The longer people dwell on those systems the worse this "everyone is stupid" problem will get. Not only that, check starting at ~1hr 15min (with the charts). In the advent of facebook, depression and self cutting has skyrocketed with teenagers leading to the conclusion that keeping people in pods and connected to a terminal is harmful. Yet, it appears the powers that be .
