Writing, particularly of the online variety, is akin to musical improv; Knowing the rules allows one to vernacularly riff and quip as needed with the assumption that the end user can glean the tongue in cheek intent. In this particular example, the particular verbiage was conspicuously chosen to establish a wink-wink, nudge-nudge, self effacing tenor and tone of the given salvo.
