Some people are convinced that you have to eat loads of carbs to grow.

While carbs are good as fuel and to make your muscles look "fuller", they are not necessary and it's best to limit them. Especially grains.

For me the high amount of carbs are necessary but only 8-12 hrs before leg session or directly after any other session. Before, has to do with fuel like you said but after has to do with allowing the proteins you drink or eat to help repair muscles faster. Dextrose powder is good for doing that if you have trouble eating that much or get insane jaw pumps/cramps when eating. There's a lot of scientific studies that verify that but really doesn't matter too much if natty. When I was natty I generally felt better with low or zero carb and working out fasted.

Even when on cycle I don't eat extreme carbs though because I'd rather slow bulk 1 kilogram a month rather than 5 kilos. Usually I limit it to 2 sweet potatoes a day.

I usually workout fasted in the morning with only black coffee or 400 mg caffeine pill. I eat carbs for breakfast only if it's my PR day, and that would be a honey sesame bar I make which has about 450 cals and 50 grams of carbs per serving. A real energy bomb. After workout I just eat what my body asks me to as long as it's healthy and within calorie range. It's usually potatoes, fatty meat, eggs, dairy and all kinds of fermented vegetables.

I used to go keto for about a year, didn't lose strength but did get tired more quickly.

Fermented veggies is a real game changer. I started adding kimchi (Japanese or Korean fermented spicy cabbage) and don't have any more stomach bloat.

Oh also I asked Hammer what was going on with what you asked about Ukraine/Russia and he pretty much sperged out and started talking about new plans to build his brand into a religion. He didn't answer the question but the way he answered just made him seem like a meth head that can't focus on anything. I left it alone bc he kept dropping those dumb TG round video chats about his latest plan
