The most interesting thing I saw today on a very uneventful hunt. This tree is the only thing holding this barbed wire up, no idea how old the fence was. It was running through the middle of state land. Maybe one side of it was private at one point, but more likely it was there from some old grazing lease years ago. Kind of stupid but I like seeing things like this, or old abandoned homesteads, the relics of past human labor being absorbed by the forest. I don't know why, it just does something for me.
Now I'm hunkering down to wait out a snowstorm for a couple days, and when it's over I will get back to hunting.
