Today, just because of foolishness, we tried some funny things with our Nespresso machine. We wanted to know how it recognises genuine capsules and "fake" ones.

It turned out that the built-in camera has character recognition and it "reads" the name of the capsule. So I tried writing it by hand and it WORKED!! You may notice some strange cuts in the video. That's because sometimes the machine accepted the "fake" capsules for no obvious reason. But the handwritten ones always worked without problem. Results will also vary with the color of the capsules. A white one was almost always recognised as "Vanilla flavour" even without a name on it. Just try it, it's fun!
