They are trying to normalize the idea of children having strokes so it's less shocking to people when they eventually see cases in their own life so they talk about it less. Imagine the difference, a kid you know even just a little has a stroke. Next thing you know you are telling everyone, "I know this kid who had a stroke. Can you believe it, a kid." Then later they tell their wife. Hey, one of my coworkers told me he knows a kid who had a stroke. Crazy. Vs. Hey, Timmy had a stroke. Yeah, I heard that happens, that's sad. So did you see what happened on sportsball? The amount of conversation that event will generate before normalization vs after is at least 10:1. Everyone that kid knows even slightly telling everyone they know, and some of those telling a few more, vs, just a conversation that happens within the family and maybe a few close friends.
