Seriously, electric anything is not good for portability. You can't beat the energy density of petrol. Period. Ok, small electronics is fine. But trying to electrify powerful machines is crazy. Just don't do it. Heck, even my battery electric drill sucks compared to my old school corded unit.

Battery electric has it's applications, but it's not always worse or always better than alternatives. For many uses energy density is not the main concern.
