This seems strange. Every car I’ve ever been in has a mechanical linkage that also unlocks the door simultaneously if you pull the handle from the inside. I’m guessing the Tesla has electrical relays for door latches and no safety release in the case of an electrical failure? Seems odd that safety code would allow this configuration.

To open a front door in the unlikely situation when Model 3 has no power, pull up the manual door release located in front of the window switches.

Ah yeah the photo shows the emergency release. This guy probably didn’t know about it or couldn’t think of it in a panic. Remembering a safety release while shit is on fire could be a tough situation.
Any stranger than any US agency allowing and encouraging taking weaponized kill shots? I don't know about you, but I'm seeing a pattern emerging here.
