I grew up in a house that should have been condemned. I had a waterfall in my bathroom every time it rained. I had styrofoam as insulation on the ceiling and plank boards for a floor. We had no air conditioning in the summer and we used a wood burning stove in the winter.

I lost two friends in high school. One from a DUI incident and one from alcohol poisoning. I lost one friend in college from a distracted driver who was texting while driving. I lost one friend from a heart issue. I lost my mother due to ovarian cancer; I took care of her for two and a half years. I am currently taking care of my father who has stage iv colon cancer.

I have been through a school shooting. Yet, I still maintain that the right to own a gun is a right everyone should enjoy.

I walked five miles round trip in triple degree heat and 100% humidity to my first job.

I don't naturally trust people. People think I am shy, yet it is a defense mechanism.

I haven't been on a date in about 7 years. The last three years have been voluntary due to being emotionally unavailable.

I have been turned down by over 100 companies for over 2500 positions.

Yet I still go forward. Why? Because I want to make it to Mars for retirement.

Ask yourself: How much can you endure?

I bet you can do more.

That is humanity's strength. That is YOUR strength.

This is very inspiring! BTW, styrophome is excellent insulation. I have a winter coat full of it. Homemade.

I will! All you need is a Russian poncho, about 87hours, styrofoam, needle and thread, and very low standards. DIY!

I'm not really sure I have your kind of strength, but now I feel a bit embarrassed I haven't tried.

You’ve got it inside you. You just don’t realize it.
