But time has changed. It's no longer that, it is only ever paid. Also thru (noun for a location you move across) is no longer a thing. It's now "Drive through" and thru is nonsense.

It's true that there has been a change of wording, but I would attribute it to "changing consumer behavior" having less understanding of the English language, and not call it Mandela Effect
