Can't use an HSA unless you have a high-deductible insurance plan. I have one left from an old employer that I've slowly been drawing down over the years, but I can't add to it otherwise I would for the tax advantage.
I'm in decent health, but getting older. My "Oh shit your body is broken and it's going to take hundreds of thousands to fix" is taking the money I have saved and trying all the drugs I didn't try when I was younger.

In my experience, they're all overrated - the occasional aspirin or NSAID being the exception.

Indeed. The mid/late 70s is a bit of a blurr to this waterfowl. Given the opportunity to do any of it again, I would pass. Except maybe for Peyote - I might give that a go again if the timing and surroundings were attractive. Might.
