One of the things the presenter did was embed a bunch of television clips into the presentation, because apparently those clips, presented originally for comedic effect and certainly NOT what you'd want to do, are relevant to to the presentation.

But that aside, as soon as a clip was being shown - silence. Complete, rapt attention from everyone. It was just like people turned off and were drawn to the screen like it was hypnosis. There was one from back in the 90s - had to ask about it - but even that (some of the people there were probably 10 when it showed) was just absolutely fascinating to those people.

That's both very interesting and frightening to me.

Fortunately, the training was a "We haven't done this for a decade but if we get audited for compliance there will be questions, so just sit down, have a donut and coffee, and let us blather for a few hours" meeting.
