They had to do it because audits, no one want to be here, not even the trainers.

They’re playing the standard PowerPoint bullshit, but it’s full of videos of pop culture television. Can’t hear it, makes no sense to me since I have not had a television for 30 years.

I guess it’s just free donuts.

Been years for me, and then it was only rayciss and misogynistic topics. I imagine today it includes pronoun and gender shit as well. You'll know it's time to stick a fork in it when they include a separate section on jews. Let's hope it never comes to that...

Depends on the org and the requirements (I can only speak to federal reqs), but the kool-aid I was referring to - I had to take screenshots and send them to my wife. My reaction was at first 'oh fuck, I made a huge mistake accepting the offer' and my secondary reaction was 10-days later when I sent in my resignation.

It was chalk-full-o: dei shit, trans rights, pronouns, and hr actionable complaints. Fuck a bunch of that noise

Good for you! I did this back in '98 - because the company lied to me and turned out to be really shitty. I was married with 3 young kids then, so it was a huge deal for us. It amazes me how many people will stay in shitty jobs they hate and that compromise their values because they feel they have no choice. Financials and benefits are important, but should fall way down the list relative to your mental and spiritual health. Really liking your job is huge too, but having one you can at least tolerate seems to be the criteria today.

Hear-hear.

I have adopted the ethos: 'I need a job, but I don't need this job.'

In all honesty, it is a double-edged sword, but if I cannot respect the org, I have no business being there
