Hey y'all, I'm in the process of cleaning out my house. I have two motherboards. Complete with Xeon X5650 processors and 16mb of ddr3, and coolers.

I HATE to just throw them away, but realistically I have no use for them at all. If anyone is interested in rehoming them, send me a PM. All I'd ask is for shipping costs

That would make neat video, I'd cover the shipping to donate them to a tube channel I watch if international shipping didn't cost so much.

5650's are getting up there in age. I get how you feel but last time I made a major move I ended up having to send a bunch to recycling =/ Just no interest in it locally.

Agree it's old. Figured someone might want it for a home data or firewall server

I totally get it. I always have a hard time just "tossing stuff" (why I try to give it away or recycle it). If you want to do a post to you could just toss it all in a bin and in a few years extract the gold/platinum out of it I know a guy that did that with a old mainframe (shame really and you would not get anywhere near as much). He got a few ounces of gold/silver and I think about two ounces of platinum.... Out of what probably was about a TON worth of old gear.
