You should talk to them, or simply stop doing their job and let them face the consequences.
If I don't do the job people might die. I won't allow that to happen if I can do something about it. This is not the first time I have been in a job like this even though I am a "tech" guy.
It is complicated. I will do what I can to make sure that their lack of willingness is "noticed".
At first I was thinking it was more of a you problem since you can't seem to say "no" and take on more responsibility than you should have to... The "people might die," would seem to be an issue for most so I understand your concern now.
Im in a different boat than you as I have also had pretty much the same circumstances in one job I had a few years back. Once I was able to ensure "people may die" is not my responsibility, I stopped caring. It does suck at times bc I was at the point you are at currently. I am now at a point where I have zero empathy unless it concerns my family and that circle is literally 3 people. Once you lose that touch of humanity, I don't know if it's ever possible to get it back. That's the part that sucks and even if noticed through introspection it just becomes easier to go with the flow and become too jaded to care.
Do you have someone higher up to share your concerns with about these lazy niggers?
