Yesterday my wife and I decided to out and have breakfast before a morning of errands. We hadn’t been out for breakfast in a while just because we prefer to eat at home. Anyway, she ordered her stuff and I got two eggs and toast. The bill came and I was charged $2.69 per egg. This works out to about $32 a dozen. I was shocked. I never really paid attention before about the mark up on things in restaurants but this got my attention.

And they made about 3.65 in profit off of your visit. The margins are so small at those places it's hardly worth it anymore.
