He's been with me 8 years, one of my best guys. It sucks to lose him. He got a job for a couple bucks more an hour but it's a lot closer to him so he'll save a ton of money in fuel costs. I can't blame him, you gotta look out for number one.

I went and worked the same job as him for his last day and ordered us a pizza for lunch.

One large 2 topping pizza, two 20 oz root beers.

FORTY fucking dollars.

Defeated inflation my ass.

You know that little blue icon next to submit when commenting? You can upload a pic. It gets uploaded to pic8 and a mirror on Poal's expando fallback is also done in case it can't be loaded from one of the pic8 hosts.

mirror (pic8.co)

You're one of the good guys too. I always buy my guys lunch once every month or two.

Everything about the liberal/communist destruction of Capitalism since 2020 is about the rise and control of Diesel prices. EVERY single Thing that Gets to Every store is buy truck and the price of diesel is added to Every load. Liberal/communist/socialism is The Only cause.

Yes, It really pisses me off how much it takes to fill up my truck these days, right around a hundred and twenty bucks, at least once a week, sometimes twice.

Why didn't you pay him more?

I'm a small company, if I pay him that much more then I gotta pay the other guys that much more. Plus he was attracted by the more local work and the fuel savings that will bring, less time on the road etc, etc.

You never know, he might not like it there so much after a few months. You may see him again. My contractor Dad had a couple of guys come back to work for him after a while back in his day.

Yeah, I didn't run out and shred his debit card or anything.
