Ironically, they dont observe it as a memorial of the "Find Out" part of "Fucking Around" when God told them to behave and try to learn from the error of their ways. Instead it's "wooooe bad stuff happened for noooo reason".
jews NEVER acknowledge their part in bad things happening to them.
It's baffling considering that the Old Testament (i.e. what Jews claim to care about) is chock full of:
1) God says to listen to Him rather than pagan gods.
2) Israelites chase pagan wenches, sacrifice their kids to Moloch, etc.
3) Israelites get invaded by pagans. :shockedpikachu: "woe, God save us"
4) Divine aid to bail them out and an admonition to listen to Him next time.
5) "Ooh, look, pagan hoes and degeneracy, let's do it again"
It's a Scooby Doo mystery how the same cycle repeats.
