I had a fucking argument with my wife. I wanted her to apologize so I fucked up her dinner. She called me abusive, and now for the first time I'm drunk and pissed. It was petty at best, but I'm not sure what to do

Well...I basically told her I did, but I really just fucked up and was pissed off at her

You should apologize here. No matter what the argument was about before you escalated it by doing this. No matter how bad the argument gets, she is still a person who you made an oath to spend the rest of your life with, you can't treat her like that. This is an advice from an expert wife arguer.

Yeah, you're completely right. I don't even know how I got like that. It was so out of character for me. Getting drunk was also uncharacteristic. I just feel like an idiot.
