Thank you for running out to help. I was in a bad accident as a kid and am very grateful to the people who immediately stopped to help. I’d have one less person in my family right now if not for bystanders.
It's the right thing to do, and I know I'd truly appreciate it if I were in their shoes.
I was badly hurt and couldn’t help myself let alone anyone else, when people arrived to help, it was the biggest feeling of relief, like I knew everything would be ok, and I was worried, blood everywhere, car unrecognizable, etc.
My only big crash was about 39 years ago, I was very lucky, just a few bruises from the steering wheel. Totalled my truck. Trying to climb out of the passenger door is a real challenge when your truck is laying on the driver side in the middle of the road.
I'm sorry to hear you had to go through all that, glad to hear you were somewhere with bystanders! Did you make a full recovery? I mean, you're here which is good, but I'm talking about wounds that dont heal right

I'd walk away in disgust, still would call 911 though. Let the cops and EMTs deal with it, if the truck catches fire before they get there, no loss to society and no guilt on my part.
