I was badly hurt and couldn’t help myself let alone anyone else, when people arrived to help, it was the biggest feeling of relief, like I knew everything would be ok, and I was worried, blood everywhere, car unrecognizable, etc.
My only big crash was about 39 years ago, I was very lucky, just a few bruises from the steering wheel. Totalled my truck. Trying to climb out of the passenger door is a real challenge when your truck is laying on the driver side in the middle of the road.
I'm sorry to hear you had to go through all that, glad to hear you were somewhere with bystanders! Did you make a full recovery? I mean, you're here which is good, but I'm talking about wounds that dont heal right
You don’t walk away from a near fatal accident like that w/o problems, but I’m walking decades after I was told I’d be confined to a wheelchair. Doctors don’t know shit, don’t believe them, it’s possible to have severe skeletal injuries and live a productive life. My face is a bit messed up, but I’m probably the only one who can tell, I’m no longer symmetrical. Also, don’t take their poison pain pills, if you must, then only for short periods after trauma or surgery. Lucky I had a reaction to that stufff or I’d be one of those hooked on prescribed opioids. Chronic pain can be managed, having no pain is unrealistic, so learn to cope. Be very judicious about surgery too, sometimes it doesn’t help or makes things worse. Try to find a way to get by without it. But yeah, no one looking at me knows I’m crippled, I’m very high functioning, and have found ways to deal with it using methods branded as kooky, or fraudulent by the AMA, and I have a better quality of life than the average person. Staying away from doctors can be beneficial.
