Just wanted to give you an update. Still waiting on some quotes, but it seems like the max would be $800.00 for the stone, with a 4-5 week lead time.

It also depends if we want his flair to be on the stone or not. I can't decided if it would be appropriate, or classless. Let me know what you think.

Regardless, I have written some copy for the stone.

It is pretty short and sweet, just his name, dates of birth and death, and some of his better quotes.

Here is the copy. Keep in mind, it will be center-justified on the stone, so it will probably look better there than here.

In Memory of ***** ****** AKA @Suplex May XXth, 19** to May 17th, 2024 "Fuck all Yall" But also, "You are my People. Even if you don't think so"

Obviously I redacted his real name and birthday, so as to avoid doxxing the dead. Also, like I said, it should look significantly better when center-justified. But let me know if you can think of any better quotes of his than the last one. Obviously "Fuck all Yall" has to be included.

Would it be be fucked up if we made is say "Fuck all Ya'll" instead?

I know he hated that apostrophe for some reason. I am not sure if it would be disrespectful to a dead man, or trolling a hick ghost.

Motherfuk’r, I had a whole reply all written out and lost it somehow. Try’n again here…gonna be different, but essentially the same. Motherfukr!

Curious, will this be a flat lay down stone facing up or an upright stone having two faces? I ask because of the nature and complexity involved with both the man we wish to memorialize and why. Already I’m losing the drift of my original thoughts so going to get right to what I proposed and why. From the most approachable side of the stone it could be inscribed just as you have it Theo, including the quote, “You are my people. Even if you don’t think so”, but saving the “Fuck all y’all” for the obverse side to underscore his engraved flair.

This would give the respect deserved in the traditional sense upfront, while also paying homage to the dual nature and complicated man we all came to love and appreciate. Adding mystery to the uninitiated and respect towards Suplex’s contributions to the founder and family and to represent those of us on this forum I propose a string of poalr bears end to end facing to the right at the base of each side that would also represent those of us who enjoyed spending time with him in his final years.

Too much? Too expensive? Yeah, probably, but it would be cool and it’s not like it has to be done right away.

Just my thoughts on how to be traditionally respectful and at the same time, how to give a bit of some personal touch from all of us that he deserves for all his support to poal while at the same time also a mysterious monument to the man who created this site and those that keep it going.

I’d like to add that I’m good with however it is decided to go forward. Much respect to @Theodore-Kent for all he has done to make this happen. God bless all y’all, and more importantly fuck all y’all!
