33 reps per set, if I trip or incomplete 33 jumps in a row I start over. 3 times a day gives me 100 reps. I know 100 isn't enough to write home about, but I will be working that number up. My current goal is to get to 200 reps a day (100 in the morning, 100 in the evening) without getting sore. I'm surprisingly sore from this. But I think I read somewhere its ok to workout if your a little sore, so no excuses for not completing my daily goal.

(Edit: Grammar)

I have not looked into it yet but I saw this the other day and thought it looked interesting. It was posted to hacker-news. Maybe you would also find it interesting.

Ah woah, thats pretty cool! I'll let you know what I think of it after using it for a while.

Cool, I'm going to check it out this weekend. I need to get moving more. I am way more out of shape than I should be.

Keep up the efforts though. Self improvement can be hard but is always worth it.

Good for you. Keep at it.

I’m working on getting up to a two mile swim. Currently sitting at a 1/2 mile with breaks every 200m or so….

Good for you !!

I earned my mile swim badge in Boy Scouts many years ago, but haven't come close to swimming that distance in decades.

Oh wow, a two mile swim sounds like a lot of back and forth in a pool or one way in a lake or river. You must keep in pretty good shape, water is a difficult medium.

I’d like to do an iron man…long term goals.

saves a lot of time, too. 5 minutes jumping equals like 30 minutes or more of running. Downside is, it's kind of hard to do inside

That's excellent. I don't know about your shoulders, but mine have taken a beating from decades of heavy lifting. My shoulders can't handle jumping rope anymore. I can put myself out of commission pushing myself to do that exercise. Have fun!

Do you do it listening to music? When I used to skip I found it easier to keep a rhythm... keeping in time with the rhythm.

Good job keep it up!

throw some double unders in. every 10th jump.

double unders huh, haven't done that before but it sounds like a nice challenge

Good, work out as much as you can.

It will make you happier, and a better mother.

We are all being driven insane in this day and age. You seem to be holding up well.

Keep up with it. I believe in you.

I appreciate your kind words! I'm trying to hold it together, or at least inspire others to hold it together. I get very intrusive thoughts, but I think if i exercise more I wont have the extra energy for brooding

I get very intrusive thoughts

Me too bro. What about?

33 * 3 = 99, not 100.

:)

Keep it up, don't let stop you.

Boone is my inspiration, I might just need to outrun a nigger one day.

My excuse is i'm bad at math, but I still am completing my goal of 100. I have a lot of restarting reps because I trip or get intercepted by life, and I keep count in the feeble mind of mine just enough to count to 100. God blessed me with good looks that came at the cost of some braincells

I was teasing, don't worry. Just keep it up, you'll thank yourself as you get older.

when I get to 200 reps a day sustained for a month with no soreness, I could try to improve my reps, OR I could go do something awesome that I miss doing. I used to go for really long walks in the desert and freeclimb when I was an unsupervised youth. The desert doesnt always have the biggest mountains but it often does have awesome large rock structures challenging to climb.

Outstanding, EF! Your plan is sound; build slow and steady to avoid injury.

Yeah true, working out can be dangerous if not done properly. I also don't want to over invest in a workout that will burn me out and discourage me from working. I used to do the Arnold Swarts Blueprint workout, which isnt a workout for ladies, and it was brutal. I did stick with it, bulked up but didnt lose any weight. Turned me off to doing workouts for a while.

Find what works for you, ditch what doesn't and stay consistent with it. Those are the keys to the kingdom.
