Grandma is looking down at you sternly.

Slow movement of head left to right. Looking over the reading glasses. Hands on hips. Rolled up newspaper in right hand.

It is done.

The back is rusty. 1/5 would not recommend.

A little reseasoning and it will be fine again. I doubt you'll do it again though.

You can scrub off the rust easily with steel wool, not a big issue, but will take some work.

after scrubbing off rust, don't forget wiping down well with vinegar before re-seasoning.

I've read about salt to remove rust from told and will probably try this with the chain mail scrubby cloth.

I don’t ever wash my cast iron skillets, I just wipe them clean. If they’re really dirty, a little scraping with a metal spatula does the trick.
