The power of prayer is amazing. God is great.
I got a buddy in the hospital with fucking sepsis. He's been in there for 5 days and his mom has been by side the whole time. Even thru her birthday and anniversary. His dad just goes fishing. Take care of your mom. She's the only person that truly loves you unconditionally
That's her baby boy. Even if he's fifty. Dad has a different way to cope, doesn't know how to deal with his son possibly dying. God bless your buddy and his parents.
That's wonderful news! Here's to her full recovery! <lift's morning coffee cup>
My mom was a frugal shopper and it seems her weakness was buying towels, sheets, pillowcases etc on sale. After she passed away I found so many of them still in their original packaging with unreal pricetags compared to present day pricing, multiple lifetimes supply, made in USA. I will never need to buy any of these things in my lifetime.

Seriously, why are moms like this? She could have clean sheets for a small army, apparently she hasn't read the 3rd Amendment.
It takes every ounce of my being to not do this. But when I own a house, especially if it's a large one, it will be hard to say no to a good deal. Gotta be the best host to the most possible amount of people. Ideally, family and friends not randoms.
They can always get used, never go bad. Everyone needs them. IDK why, but it's an affordable habit that seemed to give my frugal mom great joy to participate in. She and her sister often used to shop the "big" stores when my family visited them ... Arlens, Mammoth Mart, K-Mart, Woolworth's, McLellans, Ames and many others from that bygone era.
Moms just do it. I actually went through about 3 years ago the towel and linen closet. I took out an entire garbage bag worth of sheets and brought them to the donation center. And there's still plenty left.
Humane societies need this sort of stuff; donation centers resell items at near retail prices instead of prices the truly poor and needy can afford.
For the sake of your health and your mothers recovery, look into Aajonus Vonderplanitz diet. Read the book "Spear of Aajonus" and--if you want to get technical--"Bechamp or Pasteur" by Ethel D. Humes.
All the best.
Have to be careful with raw diets and elderly digestion.
Amen in Jesus holy name!! This is an uplifting reminder God answers prayers! Praise God!! I am so thankful!
You take all of those sheets, and your nephews, and make a kick ass fort.
Really glad to hear that, mate. Best pf luck with the rest of her recovery.
Glad to see a little bit of tribulation lifted from you.
Christ is King!
Thank God, Theo, so glad to hear your mom is doing better.
I'm glad she's feeling better :)
And sheets multiply when you're not looking. Most of my storage is housing more sheets than I know.what to do with. Sometimes my friend comes to me with their extra sheets "hey I don't want to throw this away. Could you use them?" Yes, yes I can.... If I have room....
