I had a nightmare where I woke up in the body of the Soyest of all Gen Z'ers. No job and sponging off the person I was dating. I had "anxiety" and used copious amounts of pot to "manage my anxiety" (about being a total loser). I got winded going "hiking" on an easy trail in the suburbs. Our shower flooded because "We can't afford a plumber" and Zoomer-me was apparently too clueless to pull the hair out of the drain. I had no job skills because apparently I spent all day watching anime and doing pot, and my date just accepted this as normal for a Gen-Zer.

I felt like I'd woken up as a retarded child with adult responsibilities. Is this what real Gen Z'ers are like? Completely untrained in anything, weak in every meaning of the word, and thrown to the wolves?

I know a zoomer from wider family who is exactly like this, but no weed because his father wold murder him.

This is because his parents didn't spend any times raising him, but let reddit do the job.

Some of it falls on us in Gen X. We tried to put some backbone in you, but when the boomers ran in to protect you, we didn't keep at it. (Collective 'you', not you personally.)

I was joking with a zoomer how he missed out on growing up in the 90s, didn't know what the pre 911 world was like, but in a few years he'll be saying the same thing about the COVID babies
