I can't wait to get home and eat dinner tonight. Stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, steamed broccoli, ciabatta bread and then turkey sandwiches from the leftovers with dijon mustard.

My wife and mother are cooking plus a few neighbors and friends are all coming by to eat. It's a White only event. My only job was to bring the wine and pay for most of the groceries.

My wife and I share the cooking - I butchered the bird today for a new way of cooking (I can make the fresh stock whilst the bird roasts instead of after). With that, the mixed greens (collards and turnip) with bacon and apples are cooking; I will make mashed sweet potatoes with sage and rosemary from the garden, a fresh mushroom gravy my wife has made and I will make the turkey gravy last. We have the fresh cranberry jam we made last week, and to top it off, a pumpkin pie from the pumpkins we grew. just us and the resident cohabitant animals all looking for a quiet day of food, music, and movies.
