Best of luck on getting fired so you can dedicate time to finding a better job!

Job hunting blows. Praying for you my dude.

All these fucking employers want a phone interview, followed by a zoom meeting, followed by a final physical interview. That means I would have to take off at least two days of work for this bullshit. I've never really had to job hunt for a 9-5 before while fully employed at a 9-5. It's really fucking hard.

Yeah man, it's ridiculous. Depending on the field you're going into, they want even more interviews.

Had this one job I was interviewing for, after literally 5 separate interviews, I said "screw it". They clearly had no idea what they were doing.

Job hunting is basically a full time job.

I get that impression from companies. They never knew what they were doing when hiring. The latest way to pretend they are doing a good job of choosing candidates is to do more and more interviews.

I had a company ask for me to allow them to install a scanning application on my laptop so they could monitor (in real time) while I took a skills assessment. I told them in polite terms to fuck off.

Job searching while working full time is never fun. Good luck with your firing!

They asked you to install it on your own laptop? That's crossing a line.

Fuck that. Who gives a dam how you solve a problem if you solve the fucking problem. Also, no. I will not allow you to install spyware on any of my computers.

Just say that you have an urgent medical appointment or your mother was just diagnosed with cancer and you need to be with her. Lie through your teeth about all these terrible things that seem to be happening to you all of a sudden.

Assuming you're not fired, since you're looking, try telling the company you're interviewing for that you can't take much time off work for your current job because you owe them your diligence while working for them. Some may think you're not hungry enough, but you don't want to work for that sort of company anyway. Others will take it as a sign you'll be just a diligent working for them.
