I'm kinda interested in how they managed to get the calories high enough for one meal to suffice for under $3.60 a person.
From what i remember the meals themselves were simple and basic but fairly wholesome. Like Shepards pie - using left overs, spaghetti bolognaise, Mince and potatoes with mixed vegetable, Macaroni cheese with tomatoe , that kind of stuff. This was also when food prices were probably half of what the same would cost now. And also they didn't really make mention or point out it didnt actually include breakfast and lunches or snacks - until the public started critiquing her gaslighting, just 'Look, you can feed a family of four for $100. Here's how' - it's why the she never ended up doing it herself - bc she realized she couldn't unless she admitted 'oh snap, it's not as easy as i made out !!.'
