The price has been dropping and I had been wondering what it would get back down to. $0.99/dozen hit today at a store I go to. I hope it stays that way.

Money is tight and eggs provide a nutritional punch and are versatile when it comes to what you can do with them.

I’m not sure what eggs are going for by you folks, but this was a happy moment for me. I’m guessing some of you have chickens or only buy non-store eggs and I respect that. I just get them from the store when they’re not priced insanely high. And I went quite a while not buying eggs because they were so expensive.

I hope the price stays down for a little while before the steinbergs burn down more plants.

Glad to hear that the price went down. Find a local farmer/ chicken keeper if you can't keep your own chickens. It's well worth the difference. Super bright orange yolks, they're worth the price difference. Ducks and turkeys will lay, too, but best of luck finding anyone with them. Not many folks keep them. Duck eggs are absolutely delicious, great for baking- turkey eggs, even better.

I don't like duck eggs by themselves, but your right about the baking part.
