YES!! This is what I have been saying for years. If the SHTF and some yahoo comes along with some gold or silver and he needs supplies I am gonna laugh. What am I gonna do with some gold? Want some eggs? bring me some bread, or beef or gunpowder. Something I can use.
The vast vast majority of the time shtf in a localized way. Usually through insane hyperinflation. The Chinese will always take your gold in exchange for their crap, but they may not always take your dollars and definitely don’t need your cans of beans. So gold is about trading to an external source for the sorts of things that society temporarily cannot produce. Gold will get you a plane ticket out of a country, beans won’t.

if the shit hits that fan...you can just kill a faggot, nigger, vegan, coal burner, kike, or anyone with weird colored hair...get their ID..go to their house and take all their shit. It will take a while to get enough food and supplies to be "fine"....mostly because I imagine their houses are filled with crack pipes, used condoms, used needles, porn, and sex toys; but I'm sure they have something you can use.
