My dad's best friend, a family friend, a man who was there throughout my childhood at sporting events etc. was just diagnosed with stage 4, metastatic prostate cancer.

It's real tough on my Father, I can hear it in his voice and I don't know what to do. I'm trying to keep my distance to not annoy him if he needs time to talk with the friend.

In his 50's just retired and was about to move to another state where he built a home. 2 kids. Recently lost both parents. Damned sad.
